What we see from Jindalee
Jindalee has a mix of 1970s and 1980s original owners who’ve stayed, newer families who’ve moved in over the last 10 to 15 years, and a strong rental market around the school and shopping zones. The car mix reflects that:
- Older Japanese and Korean cars from long-time residents — older Camrys, Corollas, Mazdas, Hyundais in the 150,000 to 250,000 km range. Good cars, well-built, easy to service.
- Family SUVs from newer arrivals — CX-5, Tucson, Sportage, RAV4, Outlander, X-Trail.
- Utes from tradies who live in Jindalee and work around Brisbane — Hilux, Ranger, D-Max, Triton.
- Small cars from the rental and student market — i30, Corolla hatch, Mazda3, Swift.
- The occasional European — BMW, Audi, VW Golf. Less common in Jindalee than in Indooroopilly or Toowong but still regular customers.
Common bookings from Jindalee
Safety certificates. Jindalee has constant private car sales. Facebook Marketplace, Gumtree, family member handoffs. Safety certificate is $99 and usually done same day. We are a QLD Approved Inspection Station.
$149 oil change. The most common booking across the suburb. Quick, cheap, out the door in 45 minutes.
Pre-summer aircon regas. Jindalee gets hot. West-facing driveways amplify the problem. AC regas from $199 for R134a, $329 for R1234yf. Book in October or November to beat the summer rush.
Car battery replacement. Short trips to Jindalee shops, the pool, the school run — short trips are hard on batteries. We test free and replace if needed. Most common ages for battery failure in Jindalee: three and a half to five years.
Wheel alignment. Brisbane kerbs take a toll, and the roundabouts around Jindalee and Goggs Road get tight turning. Alignment from $129.
Brake pads. Stop-start around the shopping centre, traffic on Sinnamon Road at school times — front brakes wear faster than the national average. $289 per axle for most cars.
The workshop itself
Two hoists, dedicated bay for alignment work, ARC-licensed AC bay for refrigerant work, diagnostic scan tools for every major manufacturer, customer waiting area with seats and Wi-Fi. Not big, not fancy — we chose to invest in tools and parts rather than a luxury foyer.
We’ve been here long enough to have regulars who started coming when their kids were at Jindalee State School and now bring the grown-up kids’ cars in. That matters to us.
Walking distance
If your job is under two hours, you can walk to Jindalee Home Centre while we work. Hogs Breath, Grill’d, Gloria Jean’s, Sushi Train — plenty of options. Woolworths Jindalee is also a 5-minute walk. The Jindalee Library is 10 minutes away if you’re looking for somewhere quiet.
For longer jobs, drop off, walk home if you’re in central Jindalee, Uber if you’re further out, or catch the 429 to Indooroopilly for other things.

Why Jindalee residents stay with us
Local. Walkable for most of the suburb. Repco Authorised so log book servicing is covered. Transparent pricing. Same technicians every visit, so your car’s history is known by the person working on it, not just a file on a computer.
When you buy a new car in Jindalee, the first question about servicing is: dealer or independent? Our answer is the independent option costs 30 to 50 percent less with no warranty risk under Australian Consumer Law. We back our work with 12-month warranty. We are five minutes from your house.
Nine times out of ten, that’s an easy choice once customers have seen a dealer invoice for the first time.

Frequently Asked Questions
How close are you to Jindalee Shopping Centre?
About 3 minutes. Around the back of the Home Centre on Curragundi Road.
Do you open on public holidays?
Usually closed on public holidays. Check before booking.
Can I walk home after drop-off?
Most Jindalee residents can. If you’re in the pocket near the golf course or beyond Jamboree Road, it’s a bit far.
Do you have loan cars?
No, we don’t run a loan car fleet. We have a waiting area for short jobs and work with local taxi companies for longer ones.
How far in advance should I book?
For a standard service, a week’s notice is normal. For urgent jobs (battery, brake squeal), same-day or next-day is usually possible.
